Solutions for Hair Loss: Walks, Stretches, and Exercises for a Healthy Scalp

Walks, stretches, and exercises are some of the best defenses against hair loss and hair thinning problems.

Like a healthy diet and proper hair care routine, daily physical activities can serve as excellent solutions for hair loss. Apart from that, engaging in daily exercise can promote overall health of the body.

The easiest exercise that encourages proper hair growth is walking. Brisk walking for about thirty minutes improves blood circulation throughout the body, including the scalp.

The increase in blood flow helps deliver an adequate supply of oxygen and nutrients to the hair roots, stimulating the hair follicles to fully function. Walking which is considered one of the best anti-aging activities also helps remove toxins in the body, improving the health of the hair and skin.

On the other part, doing regular stretches helps tone the body. It keeps us healthy as well as provides relief from emotional stress, which can be a cause of hair loss and hair thinning problems.

A number of stretching techniques can improve the ability of the hair follicles to grow fuller and healthier hair strands.

Furthermore, performing a scalp exercise can strengthen the hair follicles since this type of exercise increases the blood flow to the whole epicranial area.

In anatomy, the epicranial area is the upper and superficial part of the head which includes the scalp muscles. When the epicranial area is stimulated, the hair follicles get proper amounts of nutrients needed for the production of new hair, making scalp exercising one of the best natural solutions for hair loss.

The following are scalp exercise procedures to stop the balding process or to prevent hair loss:

    Scalp Exercise 1

First, stand with your legs apart and slowly breathe in and out. Gradually lean forward until your head is below your waist level.

While maintaining that position, pat your head gently for 30 seconds using your knuckles. Then, bring your body back to the original position and pat your head slowly.

Repeat this exercise 5–7 times.

    Scalp Exercise 2

First, stand in a straight position and slowly breathe in and out. Look straight in one direction then slowly turn your head 5 times in another direction.

Afterwards, return to the original position then bend your head downward and then lift it up.

Repeat these steps 5 times.

Finally, move your head in a circular motion, both clockwise and counter clockwise with 5 counts for each direction.
